"WHY AM I IN A BOX?" TRAILER NOW ONLINE!!

Hi everyone!!  The trailer for a new film that I am in by Silent-But-Deadly Productions is now online.  The film is called "Why Am I In A Box?" and I play a police officer in this film.  I had a great time spending three days working on this film last year.  It was so much fun to get to work with an all female production company.  Rachel Grubb wrote, directed and stars in this film.  You can check out the IMDb profile for the film here.  More information can also be found on Silent-But-Deadly Productions at their website at www.silent-but-deadly-productions.com!!  Enjoy the trailer and stay tuned for more updates!!

WHAT I'VE BEEN UP TO LATELY!!

I hope that everyone is doing well and thanks for stopping by again to see what I've been up to lately.  I just had the world premiere of my very first film "Tales of the Dead" on Thursday, July 17th at The Heights Theatre in Columbia Heights.  I had a great time and was pleased to see the people who came out to see the film.  It was a blast and I even got to sign some autographs for people who purchased the DVD and promotional posters.  To purchase "Tales of the Dead" for $15.00 you can go to the official website of Tim and Lisa Rasmussen of Haunted Autumn Productions at www.hauntedautumn.com.  I hope that you enjoy this film, that was two years in the making, as much as we enjoyed making it for all of you!!

Premieres have been abundant lately.  My third film "Necessary Lubrication" screened last night at a film festival in St. Paul.  It is a short about a girl who finds the love of her life the day she decides to take her own life.  It is a silent black and white film.  I had a blast being a part of it and I hope you can see it if you get the chance.

June brought me the 48 Hour Film Festival.  I worked with many of my good friends on the film "Independence."  This was so much fun and it turned out well.  It was shot up in Princeton, MN and we were all very tired after staying up almost all of the night, except for a few hours of shut eye, but we had a blast anyway!!  I met a lot of very fun people on this shoot and enjoyed the premiere at The Riverview Theatre in Minneapolis.  Unfortunately, our film was turned in late so we were not eligible for any of the prizes; however, that is all right because we enjoyed the process, and that is what it is all about.  You can check out "Independence" here.  Enjoy!!

On June 20th, I also had the premiere of my fifth film "The Perfect Victim" (www.perfectvictimmovie.com).  I played Natalie's boss in this film.  This was shot in Cottage Grove, MN last August by young filmmakers.  They are some of the most professional people that I have worked with and I know that they will go far in this business.  You can check out the trailer for "The Perfect Victim" here. This film is being sent off to film festivals, including one in California.  I hope it does well as it looked amazing.  The premiere took place at The Mounds Theatre in St. Paul.

Speaking of The Mounds Theatre, I shot "The Pact" there in May.  "The Pact" is the first film shot by TRIWAR Productions (www.triwarpictures.com), the new MN based independent film company that I am a part of along with Nicole Kruex (www.nikkihomicidek.ws), Danny Mason, and Warren Anderson.  I played the bartender in this film.  The film has a 1940's inspired feel.  It was so exciting after all of this time to film a movie that was part of my own company.  I am so excited for the things that TRIWAR has to offer and I cannot wait to see what the future holds for all of us involved.  You can view the trailer for "The Pact" here.  I hope that you like it!!

In May I also got the opportunity to work with Andrew Gingerich, Parker Cagle-Smith, and Ethan Holbrook of Exploding Goldfish Films once again.  They shot a feature length film called "16 Heads and Counting" last summer in Fort Collins, Colorado.  Before they left MN this year to go back to Colorado to finish the film, they had to do a few pick up shots in Minneapolis. They asked me if I would make a cameo in the film and I jumped at the chance.  I play a co-worker of Parkers in this film and it was a lot of fun to work with them again.  You can check out the trailer for "16 Heads and Counting" here.  Also, check out their website at www.exgfilms.com for a screening near you.

In May I also did a comedy skit with Asa Thibodaux (www.thibprod.com) called "Gays Vs. Brothers."  It has done surprisingly well on YOUTUBE receiving almost 20,000 hits, making this by far the most popular YOUTUBE video that I have done.  Stay tuned for part 2 of "Gays Vs. Brothers" sometime soon.  You can view the comedy skit here.  I hope you laugh till it hurts and learn a lot from the message within the comedy.

In June I worked with Asa again filming the comedy skit "What the Buck Vs. Hustle and Flow."  This is based on one of YOUTUBE'S most popular comedians Buck and one of the site's most frequently watched videos.  I enjoyed filming this skit.  It hasn't reached the number of hits that I would like it to; however, I believe it will in time.  Buck even commented on the skit itself. Check it out here and laugh till you cry!!

That same day after filming "What the Buck Vs. Hustle and Flow," I drove across town to Maplewood, MN to film a scene in the new independent horror film "Camp Kill," directed by Nate Hanley.  I played the part of Lenny, the camp counselor, in this film.  We walked deep into the woods in Maplewood to find the perfect location to film the scene.  I was sprayed down with bug spray in between takes to keep the mosquitoes and other creatures away.  It worked well, but I was still pretty badly bitten up afterwards.  But it is all worth it.  I had a great time and cannot wait to see this film when it is done sometime next year.  It also stars Rachel Grubb and Scarlet Salem.  You can check out the official website at www.campkill.8m.com and check out two teaser trailers for the film here and here.  I am not in these teasers, but it gives you a good idea of how this film is a throwback to the classic slasher films of the 1980's.  I hope you like them!!

I got to be in another music video, this time around with Smooth and Rusty and their self titled song. Justen Overlander and Andy Kraft are behind this white rap group.  The song is sure to be a hit and I know that you will enjoy it when you see it.  I also had a special scene with my dear friend Nicole Kruex in this video.  But you will have to wait to see that.

Speaking of music videos and special scenes, I had a scene stealing part in the new music video for the upcoming band Danceband.   The song is called "Babymaker."  We filmed this last September in Minneapolis at The Varsity Theatre.  I got the privilege to work along with HGTV's Sasha Andreev in this music video.  The video has received around 2,000 hits on YOUTUBE to date in the last two weeks.  Check the video out here and I am sure that during or afterwards you will be shaking your babymaker as well.  Enjoy!!

"Terror Overload - Tales From Satan's Truck Stop" is a brand new horror anthology from Jason Stephenson NFTS Productions.  I got the privilege and opportunity to work with Jason on this film with director Kevin Myhre.  I co-starred alongside the talented Rachel Grubb in this film.  I play Edward in the segment "Dinner Date."  This is sure to shock some people and I know that the horror fans will eat it up since it is being brought to them by the same people who brought "Doomed To Consume" and "You're Next 3: Pajama Party Massacre" to the screen.  Stay tuned for updates on this film, that will be coming your way sometime in 2009.

This past weekend I also got the opportunity to start a brand new project.  It is the first of it's kind that I have been a part of.  A documentary dedicated to one of the Twin Cities' legendary entertainers, Donny West AKA Lady Patra.  I cannot say too much about this documentary, but I know that all who know and love Donny and have seen his exuberant energy perform and all those who love Miss Diana Ross will definitely want to check this out.  I have more filming to do on this next month.  Stay tuned for this sometime next year.

It is a funny story on how this all came about in the first place.  I met Donny in June of this year while I was a featured extra as the snappy dresser #1, along with Marco Moon as snappy dresser #2, on the set of the Josh Hartnett executive produced movie "Nobody."  This film was directed by Rob Perez, who wrote the 2002 film starring Josh Hartnett "40 Days and 40  Nights."  I was blown away when Matthew Feeney told me in May that I was specifically requested to fill this role on the set of this movie.  I am still in shock that I had the wonderful privilege and opportunity to be in a movie of this magnitude.  I spent roughly 50 hours on the set filming my scenes for this movie.  I spent two days in May and three days in June.  I had so much fun and this was by far the most professional, and the biggest, movie set that I have ever stepped foot on.  I got a chance to meet and talk with some of the main actors in the film, such as Philip Pavel, Sam Rosen, and Bonnie Somerville. Working on the set of "Nobody" was one of the best acting experiences of my life.  All of the extras were treated as stars themselves.  We were always asked if we were all right or if there was anything else that they could do for us to make us comfortable on the long 12 hour days.  We were also given hair and make-up, shuttled to and from the set that was only a few blocks away, and given some great food to eat as well!!  This means a lot to actors.  Since we spend a lot of time on the set, we love it when we are fed well.  I have so many great memories and I met so many wonderful people on the set.  I also got a chance to be a stand in for several of the main actors several days on the set.  I learned so much about the movies and how they operate from this shoot that I will forever be grateful for being a part of the magic.

I also got to be part of the magic on another Hollywood film that was filmed in MN called "Into Temptation," directed by Patrick Coyle.  This movie stars Jeremy Sisto and Kristin Chenoweth.  I was an extra in a diner in this scene.  I went with my dear friend Jayde "JD" Delano.  It was a lot of fun and I got to dress up crazy with spiky hair, a nose ring, and a lip ring.  I only spent 3 hours on the set of this movie but they were a lot of fun!!

Plus, "Homocide," in which I play Ricky, will be filming later on this year, hopefully before the end of the year.  A terrible tragedy kept the film from going into production in July, and it has been postponed for awhile!!  I'll keep you posted as to the progress of this film!!  I cannot wait!!

Thanks so much for taking the time to read and catch up on all of the projects that I have been up to.  I greatly appreciate it!!  I will keep you posted on future projects and anything else that you may find of interest.  God bless all of you!!

IT'S PREMIERE TIME!!  "TALES OF THE DEAD" WORLD PREMIERE ON THURSDAY, JULY 17TH AT THE HEIGHTS THEATER!!

I am happy to announce that after nearly two years in production that my very first film "Tales of the Dead" by Haunted Autumn Productions is set to have it's world premiere on Thursday, July 17th at The Heights Theater in Columbia Heights, MN.  Tickets are $5.00 at the door.  I will be on hand to join in the fun and festivities as well as the other actors from the film.  I am very excited for this as there is something special about seeing your very first film for the first time and all of the wonderful memories that are brought back.  I remember being nervous as can be on the very first night I shot my first scene for this film.  It was on Saturday, February 3rd, 2007 at Melrose Antiques in Minneapolis, MN.  It was also one of the coldest nights of the year.  I arrived early to the set as I did not want to be late and have my first acting job be my last.  Needless to say I was around a half hour early and spent the time learning my lines so as not to mess anything up.  As soon as Tim and Lisa Rasmussen arrived and set things up we were ready to go.  With the exception of the other actor.  A small inconvenience that we overcame with finding just the right person to fill his shoes.  That was Mr. Merle Johnson of Merle Productions.  The original actor with whom I was set to appear on screen with, I forget his name, had Aspergers Syndrome.  I was lucky enough to know my lines and his lines at our first rehearsal.  I was very nervous about this because, being a new actor myself, I was not sure how he would react when we got to the set to film.  I believe that everything has it's place and that Merle stepping in to fill the shoes of the evil shop owner Pete Lorre worked out for the films advantage.  The cameras began to roll and I stared to become my character in the film Vince Prize, an homage to Vincent Price.  All went well and the time came when I had to do the unthinkable.  Step outside in the subzero weather and wait till I heard action from the other side of the door.  We shot the scene around 3 times and I survived to tell the tale.  I also remember the entire cast and crew running outside to start up their cars and to put money into the parking meters.  What a fun shoot.  And the best thing about it is the fact that I already knew the owner of the antique store, Peggy.  When I had auditioned for Tim and Lisa, my very first audition ever, they had talked about the segment that I am in in "Tales of the Dead" called "The Radio" and said that there was going to be an antique store in the first part of the film.  We talked about it and I suggested that they try to find a real antique store that would let us come in and film.  An ad on Craigslist was posted and after a month or so I received an e-mail from Lisa saying that they found the right antique store:  Melrose Antiques.  When I told my mom about this she said that Melrose Antiques is the store that one of her friends Peggy owns.  Peggy also bears a strong resemblance to the Divine MIss M, Bette Midler.  From that point on I knew that this movie was meant to be and that acting was meant to be what I did with my life.  So far things have been going well and I am very happy to have been the recipient of so much good fortune so early in the game.  Aside from appearing in "The Radio" segment of "Tales of the Dead" I also appear in "The Mistress of the Tower" segment with my good friend and actress Stephanie Saji!!   hope to see many of you at the premiere of "Tales of the Dead" on Thursday, July 17th.  The best is yet to come!!

I just finished work on a couple of new projects!!  The first I was the lead in and it is tentatively called "The Higher Purpose Group."  I play Adam Booth, who joins the Higher Purpose Group only to find himself wanting to escape because his heart is not into it.  For more information on this awesome film, check out the official website of the multi-talented director Andrew Gingerich and his team of Ethan Holbrook and Parker Cagle-Smith of Exploding Goldfish Films at http://www.exgfilms.com.  We were lucky enough to film this movie on real film and I know it will look amazing!!  This is also the first movie which I got an associate producer credit!!  Very cool!!

The day after we finished wrapping "The Higher Purpose Group," I got the opportunity to work with Andrew, Ethan, Parker, and Matt Kane again on a new film shot on real film as well called "Who is Landyn Banx?"  I got to play myself in this film and I also got to work with my friend Heather Amos again!!  This film is hilarious and I was laughing hard when I read the script.  I think you will all enjoy when it is done.  I'll keep you posted!!

I also had a small part in a film called "A Broken Family," which was directed by Brooke Lemke of Silent-But-Deadly Productions (http://www.silent-but-deadly-productions.com/) in her feature directorial debut.  I was one of the wedding guests at the wedding in the film.  Brooke did an amazing job and I know she will continue to have success in the future!!

I also got to work with Decaying Productions (http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendid=151006220) and it's director the talented Sean Ryan Cook on a film called "Changing Channels: The Zombie Apocoplase: The Young and the Lifeless."  I played Lucas in this film.  It was a fun experience and I got to play an actor playing a zombie.

I have made a few more appearances on "The Real America," the local political satire show that I am frequently a part of!!  You can check it out on Sunday afternoons at 4:30 California time at the following website:  www.accessf.org.

I also have a part in the film "Hit Chicks" that will be done by IPR in Minneapolis.  I am excited to be working with Matthias Saunders as DP on this film again.  As you recall, he was the one who was DP on "Check, Please," the first film that I saw myself in on the big screen.  I play Pearson in this film and it is slated to have a premiere on Block E in Minneapolis sometime in June!!

I also got to work with Best Kind of Productions on a film for the 24 Hour Film Project called "After."  I got the privilege of working with Nikki Homicide Kruex and Jim Westcott again.  We all had a wonderful time.  I got to lie face down with my face in the ground and mud for an hour while we filmed the first scene up in St. Cloud.  Damian Walker and Dan Voltz headed the fabulous film, which had a screening at Oak Street Cinema on Thursday, April 10th as part of the Minnesota Film Race, sponsored by Diesel this year!!

Well, that is all that I can think of for now.  I am sure more fun and interesting things will come up soon that I cannot wait to tell you all about.  Until then, take care!!

Love,

Landyn

MORE NEW PROJECTS IN THE WORKS!!

Greetings everyone!!  I hope all is well in your lives.  My life has been very busy as of late.  I have many new fun and exciting projects in the works.  For film I have many that I am working on now.  One of them is a German short film tentatively called "Die Geisle."  I play Klaus in this film.  He is a rookie detective new to the force and trying to help his fellow detective Hans find his old friend Christian in the United States.  What ensues is something you will have to see to believe.  This film is directed by Melissa Prichett and the DP is Kathryn Criston.  It also stars Guy Messenger, H.T. Altman, Dan Quaile, and Warren Anderson.  Look for it to enter festivals later on this year.

I am also in another short film called "The Crime of the Century."  This is directed by Erin Burkard, whom also directed me in "Theatrophobia."  I play Jamie in this film.  Jamie, along with his best friend Nathan, have just committed a horrible act.  Lost and alone in the night they try to make sense of life and what they have just done.  However, trouble awaits them at every turn.  This film also stars Warren Anderson and Nikki Homicide Kruex.

I have a small part of a student and a dancer in the film "Street Hassle."  This is a fun film to be a part of because one of the dance scenes will be filmed at the Saloon dance club in Minneapolis on March 16th.  What a fun time it will be.  The story is about a young man who tries to turn his life around but encounters trials, tribulations, and temptations everywhere he turns.  I had wanted to audition for this film last year when it went into production but was filming other films at the time.  I am so glad to be a small part of this film and cannot wait to see how it turns out.  "Street Hassle" is directed by Roger Davidson.

I will be working with the very talented JP Wenner again on a new short film called "Boss Violet." I play Jens in this film.  This film, along with "Die Geisle," allow me to speak German, a language I love and have fond memories of from years past in high school.  Jens, coincidentally, was my German name in high school for four and a half years.  This film also stars Rachel Grubb and Nikki Homicide Kruex.

I will also be filming a scene for my first film "Tales of the Dead" at the end of March with my good friend/actress/model Stephanie Saji.  I play a victim of hers in "The Tower" segment of this 5 part film.  This will be a fun shoot and reunite me with the people who gave me my start in the wonderful world of film Tim and Lisa Rasmussen from Haunted Autumn Productions (www.hauntedautumn.com.)  It will be a fun time.

"The City" is another film that I am going to be having a small part in.  I play a torture victim in this film that deals with two men trying to find themselves and learn right from wrong.  The scene I am in will be filmed at the Soap Factory in Minneapolis, MN, where I filmed the ending of "Die Geisle."  It will be a lot of fun and I get to do a lot of screaming as well.  This film is directed by James Vogel.

I am also happy to announce that I have landed roles on two new television series in the Twin Cities area.  One is called "The Placebo Effect."  This series is about the ins and outs of daily life in a small pharmaceutical company.  It deals from everyday happenings of the workers at the pharmacy to the wonderful array of clients they cater to on a daily basis.  I am set to play the gay drama queen in this show.  I am excited and hope that my character becomes a regular on the show.

I am also a regular character named Harry on "The Real America," a political satire show that airs on MTN (MInneapolis Telecommunications Network).  I just filmed my first skit on Tuesday and will be doing a couple of appearances a month on this show as well.  Bill Benton directs this show that also airs in San Francisco.  Keep an eye out for it!!

And if that was not enough, I have sent off my lyrics to be put to music for my first CD.  My producer Ann Laurene is helping to write the music to my lyrics and also helping me to record this CD.  I am going to start slowly with a couple of songs and see how it goes from there.  After I heard music put to one of my songs, after 10 years of songwriting, it gave me goosebumps.  I hope this goes well because I am so excited in exploring my other creative talents aside from acting.  Stay tuned for this sometime later this year.

Triwar Films and it's subsidary horror division Dead Time Productions is the new production company that I am also a part of.  This is based in Minneapolis, MN.  My friend and chair person Nikki Homicide Kruex is hard at work on her first film that will be the first feature film our company Triwar Films releases sometime in 2009.  This is going to be a stellar film with a lot of talented people in the cast so keep your eyes and ears open for this.  I'll let you know more when I can.

I am also planning on setting up a photo shoot sometime in the next Month.  This will be my first time modeling so I am very excited.  Just some fun photos for my portfolio and I hope to have a blast in the process.

And last but not least, the reason why I act to begin with, my fourth film "Suzy's Party has just been finished.  The New York based director Marc Andreottola gathered a group of actors while he was here in the summer to film this movie.  He came back in December to do some voice over work and shoot some additional scenes.  He then worked hard on editing and putting the finishing touches on this film for the past two months.  I am so excited to receive this film in the next week.  This is the reward at the end of the road for actors:  being able to see the fruits of their labors.

I hope you enjoyed reading my long list of new projects and that you keep watching my videos and enjoying them.  This is why I do what I do.  All the best!!

Love,

Landyn

Besides that I am also busy getting songs done to send to my producer Ann Laurene, who is going to be writing the music for my songs.  I am very excited to try my hand at recording some of the many songs I have written over the years that are near and dear to my heart.  I should have some songs ready sometime this year.

Besides that, I am going to be reshooting some scenes for my first film "Tales of the Dead" sometime in the next month or so.  The director Tim Rasmussen (www.hauntedautumn.com) decided to add some extra back story to the film to make my segment, "The Radio," even better than expected.  I am excited about this and am anxiously awaiting the end result.  I am also going to be filming another segment for "Tales of the Dead" entitled "The Midnight Broadcast" with a good friend of mine Stephanie Saji.  What a fun time this will be.

"Brothertron 2000, one of the comedy skits that was filmed with Asa Thibodaux at my house, is now up and running on YOUTUBE.  This premiered less than a week ago and already has over 4,000 hits.  Check it out here:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GkhPRJxmtxE

"Pookie Oopsie" is the other comedy skit that we filmed that evening.  This should be available soon for all of you to enjoy.  I will keep you posted.

"The Cell Phone" is a short film directed by Kain Johnson of Change the Game Studios (www.changethegamestudios.com).  I have uploaded the trailer under my video section for all of you to enjoy.  Check it out.  This film is going to be amazing.  I play a party-goer in this film.  Look for it sometime later on in the year.

Plus, I am also a featured model on Model Mayhem.  Check it out!!

I hope that all of you have a great weekend and keep the creative juices flowing.

First off, I want to start by saying happy 2008 to everyone who may read this!!  I have been having a great year thus far and the future looks bright indeed.  2007 was one of the most amazing years of my life so far.  It all started with a dream of a young boy that became the reality of an adult man that I live every day.  I always wanted to act and that dream came true.  In 2007 I filmed 15 films, 3 music videos, 2 commercials, 2 infomercials, and 5 internet videos for Augsburg Fortress.  Dreams really can come true for those of you who believe.  As one of my favorite singers, Ryan Jordan (www.americanrye.com) says in his hit song "Believe In You" "Dreams will come true, when you believe in you."  I just want everyone out there to know that you can make your dreams come true so don't ever give up or stop believing in them.  I always dreamed of becoming an actor and now that dream has finally come true.  Believe in yourself and the rest will fall into place.

Two of the main things that I wanted to happen when I began my acting career was to first of all get my own profile on IMDB (Internet Movie Database) and to secondly have a film premiere in a movie theater.  Both of these dreams came true this year.  I now have my own profile on IMDB

(http://imdb.com/name/nm2731228/).  Stop by and check it out!!  I received my first credit for a small part of an audience member in the upcoming film "The Telephone Game" directed by Jason Schumacher.  Stay tuned for this film sometime this year as it will be a lot of fun to see.  The other dream of mine when I started acting was to have a film I appeared in be seen on the big screen.  Well, this dream came true on Thursday, December 20th of 2007.  This is one of the most memorable days of my entire life.  The film was called "Check, Please" and I played Manny, the phobia guy.  The film premiered in Minneapolis, MN at the Suburban World Theater in front of 400 plus people.  It was standing room only.  The director of photography was the amazingly talented Matthias Saunders and the director of my specific segment was Tyler Brown.  Aside from being in the film I was also the casting director.  This was a surreal experience and compares to none other I have had in my life.  This will hopefully be the first of many films I am in to be on the big screen.  It was truly a night to remember and I am so glad to have been a part of this awesome film.  Everyone was a delight to work with and I am so happy for the memories that will last a lifetime.

I also just found out today that one of the many films I did in 2007 entitled "Sometimes It Snows In April" in now up and running.  I have a link to this under my video section.  Just click and enjoy.  The director of this film is Toby Jones, an amazing talent with a bright future ahead of him.  I hope you enjoy this film as much as I enjoyed being a part of it.  I have some information to fill you in on.  I would like to personally thank everyone of you who voted online for HGTV's "Change the World" home makeover contest.  My cousin Tommy died in 2006 and left behind a widow and two young sons.  The home they were living in when he died was in desperate need of repair.  His widow Kris entered into the "Change the World" contest and was selected to be have her house repaired if the Twin Cities was chosen as one of the five cities to win the contest.  Well, on January 1st the winners were announced on live television at the Rose Bowl Parade and guess what?  The Twin Cities was chosen as one of the nation's top five and my family will now be able to have their home renovated.  They are extremely excited about this and I want to thank all of you who took time out of your busy lives to help vote for my family.  We greatly appreciate it and hope that you are all blessed in your lives as well.

Secondly, "Lust," the short horror film I appear in as the evil vampire Devon finished principal photography a couple of weeks ago.  Now all we have left to do is wait until the snow melts so we can reshoot some scenes.  This is going to be an awesome film when it is completed and I hope all of you will get a chance to see it.  I had so much fun working with Best Kind of Productions on this project including director Dan Voltz and the amazingly talented cast of Warren Anderson, Nicole Kruex, Dan Quaile, Marie Williams, Jim Westcott, and Janet Fogg.  I have many wonderful memories from this film including filming outside in 5 degree weather all the while covered in fake blood.  My was this a sticky situation.  But it will all be worth it in the end!!  But it will all be worth it in the end.  I have become really close with several members of the cast and hope to have lifelong friendships with them.

I filmed a new comedy skit last week at my house of all places.  The director was the amazingly talented comic/writer Asa Thibodaux.  The comedy skit is titled "Pookie Oopsie" and besides Asa and I features the talent of Michelle Lewis, Warren Anderson, Nicole Kruex, Cari Bauernfeind, Nik William, and Liz Huberty.  I am very excited to see how this skit turns out.  Asa has had an incredible success with his comic videos on YOUTUBE and I am happy to have been a part of this.  I'll post this video in my video section when it becomes available.

Working with Asa has also brought about the latest film role that I will be appearing in.  Asa is directing and starring in a film called "The Lady Dance," which is set to start production in February.  I will be playing the role of Billy Jean in this film.  This is a small role at the beginning of the film.  I am excited because this will be a fun part for me to play.  The film also starts Nicole Kruex as well as Warren Anderson!!

Aside from acting, I am also a songwriter.  I am in the very early stages of getting my lyrics down and preparing to have these songs set to music.  I plan on recording some songs later on this year.  This has been a dream of mine for people to hear these songs since I started writing them a decade ago.  I am not the greatest singer in the world but I know I am not the worst either.  If anything else, this will be a fun project and a learning experience.  I will keep you all updated on the process as it slowly unfolds.  Wish me luck!!

As if that weren't enough, I plan on some other big things that will be happening this year.  However, I cannot say what they are at this time.  I will keep you all guessing for awhile.  Until then, check out my video section.  I just updated it with all of the material I have at my hands to do so.  I hope you enjoy these videos!!  All the best to you and yours!!

Love,

Landyn

Happy Thanksgiving!!
I hope that everyone has a blessed Thanksgiving this year and that you are able to be with the ones you love.  May you all take a moment out of your day to reflect on the blessings that have been bestowed upon you and others this past year.  I am very grateful and thankful for all that has happened to me this year.  Acting and being able to act has always been a dream of mine since I was a small child.  Nearly everyone in my life told me that this was a pipe dream and that I should find something else to do as acting was definitely out of the question.  Well, here I am after nearly a year and 25 plus projects to my credit.  I am so happy to be able to do what I love and to bring some joy and laughter into the lives of others.  This is the beauty of being an actor because you are able to come into people's homes and touch their lives with this job.  That is a very personal thing to be able to do and I am so glad I am able to do it.  Not most everyday jobs can accomplish that.  I am excited to see what lies ahead for me and I cannot wait because soon one of my films "The Perfect Victim" will have it's premiere in a local theater.  This will be the first time that I will be able to see myself on the big screen and I am looking forward to it as well as seeing the rest of the amazing cast again!!  My acting career, as well as the health and well being of me and my family, is what I am thankful for this year.  Have a Happy Thanksgiving and cherish those who you hold close to your heart!!

NEW PROJECTS!!

Hi everyone!!  It's been awhile but the time has come to update my website.  I have been very busy over the last month with lots of new projects that I have been working on.  In  September I was in a music video for the band Dance Band.  The name of the video is "Babymaker."  It was a very fun shoot and I got to work with HGTV's Sasha Andreev.  Check this band out if you get a chance because you will want to dance.  Then I did another music video with my good friend Scarlet Salem and Tiff for First of June, a Canadian gothic band.  The name of the video is called Dandelion Halo.  The talented H. Morgen directed it.  Next I had a small part in the short film "The Cell Phone" as a party goer.  This film was directed by Kain Johnson.  I then filmed a film for the National Film Challenge titled "Cupid's Arrow."  This was a blast to make but stressful at the same time because you had to learn your lines fast and hit your marks on the first couple of takes.  But it turned out very nice when I saw it at director Dan Voltz's house.  I filmed my scenes for "Why Am I In A Box?" for Silent-But-Deadly Productions that same day.  I played a police officer and had the pleasure of working with the talented Matthew Feeney, Carol Vnuk, Johnny Fuerst, Rachel Grubb, Heather Amos, Brooke Lemke and many others on this project.  What an awesome time.  Carol's character was so funny I almost lost it laughing.  I cannot wait to see it.  Last week I filmed a short student film with MCAD director Erin Burkard.  The film was called "Theatrophobia."  I played an insane mental patient chasing a terrified Kelly Crooks through an old theater.  A lot of fun to make.  Will Hayes was camera man for this movie.  I appeared as an audience member at the MOA for a national Walkfit infomercial.  I clapped a lot and was exhausted after the 5 hour shoot.  But I got the chance to see a lot of my friends.  Coming up I will be in another Augsburg Fortress short film this weekend about a speed-dating scenario geared towards adults.  I will also start filming my new student short film with MCAD director Toby Jones entitled "Sometimes It Snows In April."  I play the lead Stanley Cyberspace in this film.  It should be a lot of fun to make.  Then I have another leading role in Dan Voltz's "Lust."  I play the wicked vampire Devon.  I have to have my entire face and teeth molded soon for this.  It will be fun.  I hope you can get to enjoy all of these projects of mine once they are completed and available.  I'll keep you posted.  Take care.
